After several years of municipal cooperation on resource based initiatives, the group of communities formally incorporated as a cooperative called the Parkland Agricultural Resource Cooperative Ltd (PARC) in November 13, 2001. The Board of Directors is led by Mayors, Reeves from the member municipalities and agricultural producer’s representing the region. In addition, the Board of Directors has developed a team of resource partners and industry contacts to assist in projects under development.
PARC is supported through the regional cooperation of 9 municipalities who are focused on responsive business development and not municipal boundaries. As the communities are in the largest commuter zone in the parkland, the municipalities want to work together to bring industry into the region. Regardless of where the development locates everyone benefits and everyone wins together.
